It’s been way too long since I’ve done an empties post! My bag is overflowing so I need to start doing these monthly! Let me know if you’d like me to keep doing them 🙂
Now onto what I’ve used up recently!
1. Premium Spa Lemon Butter Salt Body Scrub
I really think lemon body scrubs are my favourite scent. They just smell so fresh, zesty and sweet ❤ This one is a mixture of organic olive oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin e & essential oils, and sea salt. The grains aren’t too large or course, so it won’t be too harsh on the skin, but it still gives you a good scrubbin’.
Would I re-purchase?: Personally I’d rather make my own body scrub, instead of forking out $14.99 for one, but this one was nice.
2. Vera Wang Princess Velvety Body Butter
This stuff is so luxurious. It smells amazing just like the perfume. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking to treat yourself with fancy body products! I got this one for free when I bought a perfume pack years ago!
Would I re-purchase?: I do feel like heavily scented body creams can be overkill, but the texture was sooo silky. The jury is still out.
3. Kosmea Clarifying Facial Wash
You know those products you just hate but force yourself to use? Yep, this was one of those. It doesn’t help that the packaging is terrible. I got this for free in a skincare pack when I subscribed to a magazine, and I’m so glad I didn’t pay for it. As you can see it doesn’t have a lid. I dropped it once & the lid cracked and the product just kept pouring out. Kosmea kindly sent me another one, so I decided to put that cap on this one, I dropped it and it cracked… just nope. They do have great customer service though, I’ll give them that. And the cleanser itself was your run of the mill foaming gel cleanser.
Would I re-purchase?: I think you guys get the picture…
4. Sukin Hydrating Body Lotion
A light textured hydrating organic Australian lotion. You know I love Sukin, and this product is no exception! It has a light pleasant scent from the natural ingredients. This is perfect for the warmer months!
Would I re-purchase?: I stocked up and bought 2 more of these during Priceline’s 40% off skincare sale, so I’m good for now!
5. Michael Todd Honey & Oat Cleanser
This is a gel based cleanser that foams up lightly when you rub it between your hands. It’s described as a gentle deep pore cleanser. Personally I’d have to say it’s basically just a cleanser. Nothing that special.
Would I re-purchase?: Unlikely. I know there are a lot of other cleansers out there! I’m still hunting for my one true cleanser love.
6. Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake Shampoo/ Shower gel/Bubble bath
Philosophy shower gels are raved about, and I just don’t understand why. It wasn’t that moisturising, and it barely had any scent! Pretty disappointing, especially for the price you pay for these.
Would I re-purchase?: There are a lot of great body washes out there that smell amazing and work decently, so no.
7. The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel
This smells like artificial strawberry lollies. Not my favourite scent in the world, but it does smell nice, I like the packaging with the sturdy cap, and it foams up beautifully.
Would I re-purchase?: I really like the formula (which is good because I bought like 6 when they were on sale…) but I’d love them to bring out a salted caramel scent or something delicious!
8. Bioderma Sensibio H2O
The famous Bioderma. This stuff is pretty amazing. It feels like water, doesn’t sting your eyes, doesn’t have a strong scent, and actually gets all your makeup off. Love, love, love. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d use it all the time! But luckily we have cheaper alternatives now ;).
Would I re-purchase?: To be honest it still out performs the cheaper competitors, so I’d definitely pick this baby up on sale!
So there we go guys! Another empties post down! Do you like these? Let me know in the comments ❤
