After a short hiatus from my blog (sorryyyy!) I’m back with a review of the gorgeous Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick in Vouvray.
Keen to know what this baby is like? Then keep reading!
2 layers in artificial light.
Here’s a photo of Vouvray in action. As you can see it is a wearable medium warm toned pink. And will pretty much suit any look (as you can see!).
Bite Beauty says “A lush, long-lasting, moisture-rich lip color. This lip color delivers super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term antiaging benefits. Each lipstick contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine.”
In case you haven’t heard of Bite Beauty before the whole idea behind the brand is that you eat what you put on your lips, so your lipstick should be good for you. All Bite lippies are made with natural ingredients that you can eat! Not that you would want to!
Now onto my thoughts!
Pigmentation: 3/5. Due to the moisturising formula of these, don’t expect them to be pow in your face opaque in 1 swipe! They do take a few coats to reach full opacity, but they are so creamy and moisturising…
Texture: 4/5. Did I mention these were moisturising? The formula of these babies is super smooth and creamy, and leaves a gorgeous sheen on the lips.
Packaging: 4/5. Not your standard lipstick bullet here guys. This lippy has a rubberised surface, similar to NARS. And features a fancy asymmetrical lid. The lid also fits securely, so you get that satisfying pop when you open it.
Longevity: 3.5/5. Again you can’t really expect a moisturising formulated lippy to hang around all day. But you will definitely get a good few hours out of this! It will require re-application after meals though, which is pretty much standard with all lippies.
Application: 4.5/5. The angled tip makes it super easy to coat your lips effortlessly. I’m a sucker for the “usual” lipstick shape over the flatter versions, what can I say?
Bang for your buck (quality for the $$): 3.5/5. Ringing in at $36.95 AU, these definitely aren’t the cheapest lipsticks on the market. But you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality, and these are amazing for all natural lipsticks!
Overall I really rate this little guy and think I need to expand my collection a little 😉 I also have a few of the Bite Beauty High Pigment lip pencils if you guys would like a review & lip swatches, let me know!
Bite Beauty is available from various Australian & international retailers. I was kindly sent mine from RY.com.au who sell Bite Beauty & loads of different brands as well! They also do free shipping over $99 if you’re like me & hate paying for shipping :p
What do you guys think of this? Have you tried Bite Beauty before?
