It’s been a long time since I’ve done a monthly favourites post hasn’t it?! So I thought I’d call this a “current” faves :p
Want to know what I’ve been using & loving lately? Keep reading!
1. Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation in 805
I use the lightest shade in this as you may have been able to guess. This baby is medium to full coverage, applies smoothly, doesn’t feel heavy & lasts all day (although I do use a good primer, powder & setting spray… damn my oily skin!). This is my favourite drugstore foundation hands down, and is even better than some high end foundations I’ve tried. This is my daily foundation & I love it! Go and try it now!
2. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer
At first I wasn’t sure that I liked this primer. It’s super pricey and hyped up. Even after shaking it is comes out super runny, so I just take the lid off and put a bit of the thicker consistency on the back on my clean hand. On the plus side you don’t need much of this at all, and it definitely increases the wear time of your makeup! A pea sized amount is plenty as it is silicone based and glides right on (but not off ;)).
3. Benefit Roller Lash
My favourite mascara that I’ve tried so far! It lengthens the lashes like crazy and helps hold your curl all day! It’s also super easy to remove with an eye makeup remover. I love this stuff! If you’re interested in hearing more about this guy, you can read my full review & demo here.
4. Benefit Gimme Brow!
My favourite daily brow gel! Brows are super important in framing your face. This brow gel provides volume, and helps make your brows not look so drawn on & unnatural, as it helps bring out your bushy hairs. It also has a slight tint & holds them in place all day!
5. Bare Minerals Well Rested
Now that I work full time, and have to get up super early every weekday, I’m all about looking more rested then I actually am! I use Well Rested to set my under eye concealer & add a little more coverage and brightness to the area. I personally like to buff it on with a mini synthetic flat top brush to give a smooth airbrushed look.
6. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream
I was on the hunt for a moisturising eye cream for a long time, and I’ve finally found it. This stuff is super thick and rich in consistency and leaves your delicate eye area nice and hydrated. A little goes a long way, making the cost more bearable. But let’s be real, if there’s one thing worth spending on, it’s hands down skincare!
7. Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in Nude
The perfect nude eyeliner to line the waterline and make you look more awake. I replaced my Stila eyeliner with this one, and I prefer this one! It’s pigmented and creamy, and lasts well on the waterline.
8. Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque
I honestly can’t live without my corrector. I have super dark blue/purple under eyes and I swear by this corrector! It’s best applied with your ring fingers, so you can warm the product up and help it melt into the skin. I apply this, then concealer, then Well Rested and it works like a charm to disguise those dark under eyes!
9. Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer
Finally a bronzer than isn’t overly warm toned, and is suitable for us pale girls! I’ve been using this for a long time, as you can tell from my previous makeup looks. This is my favourite contour, and it doesn’t hurt that it smells like chocolate either! ❤
10. Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette
Last but not least, I’ve been reaching for my Semi-Sweet palette a lot recently. I love warm toned eyeshadows, and these are nicely pigmented, and smell delicious! I know it’s another neutral palette, but this palette has a range of neutral shades, including shimmers and mattes, and even a fun blue (which I’m yet to use :P).
