Unfortunately I don’t have a makeup look prepared for you today. I’d love some inspiration so please leave me some requests or links to makeup looks you’d like to see in the comments!
Today I have a dupe for MAC’s cleanse off oil to share with you! This is my first post like this, so let me know if you enjoy it!
MAC Cleanse Off Oil Vs Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
MAC says: “An industry-strength oil-based makeup remover that’s gentle on the skin. Botanically formulated with oils of olive fruit, evening primrose and jojoba seed and absolutely 100 percent mineral-oil free. Massages onto the skin to loosen all makeup, including waterproof mascara. Emulsifies into a lotion-type liquid with water: rinses off easily, no tissues required – and no residue! Protects with vitamin E. Skin softening and conditioning. Good for all skin types”.
Price: 2/5. $31 US ($37 AU) for 150ml. MAC Cleanse Off Oil is definitely pricey, especially seeing as you only get 150ml of product!
Packaging: 5/5. I love the packaging. It’s simple and classy. The bottle it clear plastic with a black plastic pump top which swivels to lock to stop the oil getting everywhere during travel.
Texture: 4/5. A thin oil consistency, which turns milky when water is added to allow easy removal.
Scent: 5/5. No scent, which is what I prefer with my skincare products, as added scents can irritate the skin.
Availability: 4/5. Is readily available from all MAC counters and online.
Overall Performance: 4/5. The overall performance of this cleanse off oil is great. It removes all makeup quickly & easily and doesn’t leave an oily residue, although I cleanse with a foaming cleanser after anyway.
What they say: “Kose softymo Deep Cleansing Oil blends Orange Oil and Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil to dissolve makeup and remove impurities in pores. Cuticle-clear ingredient helps remove dead cuticles, leaving skin purified and refreshed”.
Price: 4/5. The Kose cleansing oil is a lot more affordable than MAC, at $15.50 AU for 230ml.
Packaging: 3/5. The packaging is ok in my opinion. It’s a simple yellow plastic bottle with a pump that comes with a clip to stop the bottle pumping & making a mess during transit. The packaging is definitely cheaper looking than MAC, but it is also cheaper than MAC…
Texture: 4/5. Honestly this cleansing oil is identical to the MAC version. I really don’t notice any difference in texture.
Scent: 5/5. I can’t really smell anything, but if anything there is a very slight scent.
Availability: 4/5. Can only be purchased from sasa.com, but they do ship internationally for free over a certain amount, and if you don’t spend enough to reach free shipping, the shipping rates are affordable.
Overall Performance: 4/5. I would have to say that I think this a definite dupe for the MAC Cleanse Off Oil! The texture and performance is exactly the same & I highly recommend the Kose version to save some $$!
Do you like cleansing oils? Would you give either of these a go?
