Tanya Burr Lip Glosses: Review, Photos, Swatches

Hey lovelies!

*NOTE: this post has been updated to include swatches of more shades!*

Todays post is going to be a review of the new lip gloss range by Tanya Burr (who is a famous YouTuber in case you guys don’t know!). I have been watching her on YouTube for years, so I had to try her new line of lip glosses (there are also nail polishes in the line as well, but I haven’t tried any of those… yet!).

I purchased two of Tanya’s lip glosses in ‘First Date’ and ‘Picnic in the Park’. Then after I received these I purchased twoΒ more because I loved them so much! The other two I purchased are ‘Exotic island’ and ‘Vampire kiss’.

How cute is the heart on the lid?!

The formula of these lip glosses is incredible, they are opaque and creamy, and are not sticky at all. Picnic in the Park, Exotic island and Vampire kiss have no shimmer or glitter in the formula, whereas First Date does. Even though First Date contains subtle shimmer which you can see in the tube, this does not transfer to the lips, and instead both formulas both just look gorgeous and glossy. What really stands out to me about these glosses is the scent! They smell very fruity which I personally love.

How do they perform?

Pigmentation: 4/5. As you can see above, they are veryΒ pigmented for a lip gloss, but they aren’t fully opaque like a liquid lipstick.

Texture: 5/5. These glosses are very creamy and apply evenly to the lips. Just make sure your lips are exfoliated and moisturized first!

Packaging: 5/5. I just love the packaging of these. They are housed in sleek clear acrylic tubes with black lids. I also prefer this rectangular shape to the standard cylindrical shape. And do you see the little heart on the top of the lid?!

Longevity: n/a. I haven’t tested the lasting power of these glosses yet, but will update this post when I do.

Application: 5/5. The shape of the doefoot applicator on these glosses is straight, as opposed to having a curve on one side like most lip glosses. This straight applicator is identical to the MAC pro longwear lipglass’s! What’s great about the straight shape of this doefoot applicator, is that you can use both sides of the applicator, so you are essentially halfing your re-dipping back into the lipgloss for more product. πŸ™‚

Bang for your buck (quality for the $$): 4/5. The Tanya Burr lipglosses retail forΒ Β£6.99, which is around $13.00 AU and $11.67 US. I think this is a very reasonable price for such a great product. And free shipping is also included in this price!

Tanya Burr Lips and Nails products are available for purchase from feelunique (which has free worldwide shipping!) and also now from Superdrug in the UK.

What do you think of the look of these lip glosses? Would you try them?

Picnic in the Park is perfect! Great natural looking gloss, but it doesn’t wash you out. I’ve never heard of this company, probably b/c it’s not from around here lol. But it looks great!

No problem πŸ™‚ yeah they were originally released only online on feelunique.com, which is great because everyone can buy them from there.

Yeah, I wanted to do them too because I thought it would be easier than taking photos and writing, but its not!

I think you should at least try one, a fast forward Get Ready With Me maybe?
